Who is Shane Lambert?
I am a geek to the core, been playing with computers since I was 12 years old and have never been away from them for very long. Sure, there were jobs that did not need computers, like lawn mowing and Christmas tree farming, but I always seem to come back to computers for work. It is hard to believe that I started with a Commodore 64 that my dad bought me for Christmas in 1984.
Back then I did not play with girls, had nothing to do with them in fact. If you knew me back then you would have probably thought I would grow up alone, becoming a crotchety old man that nobody liked. HA! Fooled you! Not only am I married to a wonderful woman, I have a beautiful daughter that I am sure you will all just love.
I left my permanent job with TravelNet Solutions in August, 2008 and although I am finding work online, it is not really what I want to do. I tried working with a friend to set up some residual income, but that has become a slow, tedious process, and I grew tired of being broke. During that time, our family moved from Prescott, WI, to Schaumburg, IL, to Kansas City, MO, to Holmen, WI, and finally to Arcadia, WI, all in search of work.
On August 1st, 2011, I started a new job with Aladtec, Inc. in Hudson, WI. So, another move for the family, and hopefully the last (it wasn’t). In June 2011 I completed an Associates of Arts Degree at the University of Phoenix, and in September I will continue towards a Bachelors of Science in Information Technology with a concentration on multimedia and visual communications.
I enjoyed working for Aladtec for just over two years. However, in November, 2013 I accepted an offer from Wells Fargo as a Front End Web Developer. I started working as a contractor for 18 months but was hired on full time in May, 2014. I am currently a Front End Lead for the Treasury Management Division and still enjoy doing what I am doing.
In July, 2015 we moved back to La Crosse and moved into our home in September.
