The Story of Shane Lambert

1987 — My First BBS Door
In 1987, I wrote my very first Remote Access BBS door, creating interactive add‑ons for dial‑up bulletin board systems long before the modern web existed. That project lit the spark — the moment I realized I could build digital experiences people would actually use. It was the foundation for everything that came after.

Early 1990s — Expanding the BBS World
Throughout the early ’90s, I continued developing BBS doors and utilities, experimenting with ways to make systems more interactive and engaging. These projects taught me how to think in logic, structure, and user experience — skills that would become essential once the web arrived.

1992 — The Tim Berners‑Lee Keynote
In 1992, I attended a keynote speech by Tim Berners‑Lee, the creator of the World Wide Web. Hearing him describe the web as an open, connected future changed my trajectory instantly. I walked out knowing I wanted to help build that future.

1992–1994 — Hand‑Coding the Early Web
I began building websites in raw HTML — no templates, no CMS, just a blinking cursor and endless possibility. Every page was handcrafted, every tag intentional, every browser unpredictable. It was chaotic, experimental, and absolutely thrilling.

Mid‑1990s — Switching to PHP
When PHP arrived, I switched immediately. Suddenly websites could be dynamic, interactive, and alive. I built forums, utilities, content systems — anything I could imagine. PHP became my main engine for creating real experiences online.

2004 — Discovering WordPress
In 2004, I dove into WordPress and quickly began creating custom plugins under the name GrandSlambert. WordPress became my workshop — a place where I could build tools that solved real problems and helped creators shape their own websites.

2004–2020 — The GrandSlambert Plugin Era
For years, I refined my craft — building plugins, designing sites, and developing systems that made content easier to manage. My work focused on clarity, usability, and giving creators the tools they needed to build without friction.

2020s — Fully Immersed in Elementor
Eventually, I found a new creative home in Elementor. It didn’t replace my coding background — it amplified it. I became fully immersed in building modern, flexible, responsive sites using Flexbox, custom templates, and structured content systems. Elementor became the perfect blend of everything I’d learned since 1987.

Today — Still Building, Still Exploring
From BBS doors to HTML, from PHP to WordPress, from GrandSlambert plugins to immersive Elementor sites — my story has always been about creating things people can use, enjoy, and connect with. I’m still exploring, still learning, and still building the next chapter.
